Style Patrol is a youth fashion-based course. It has been developed following the success of the adult education course called dress your best. It has been developed to introduce young people to the relative values and impact of personal appearance and to give the opportunity to research, develop and express their chosen and individual fashion ‘look’ in front of the camera.
The courses often culminate in a professional photo-shoot session. Students are presented with photographs of themselves from the shoot and can additionally purchase a CD of their best images; This allows them to reproduce images without limitation for their own use.

To date courses have run through High Schools in the North East of England where sessions have been offered as part of a youth programme out of school hours with fees payable by parents. Or courses have been run in the lunchtime break and have been obtained and applied for through trust funds with no cost to students or parents.

To date the youngest students to take part have been 10/11 years old, with age 13/14 years also being poplular.
